Bloopers, Body Image Truths, and "I Don't Like Going Anywhere" Era

We crack open the vault for a full After Hours Uncensored episode packed with podcast bloopers, behind-the-scenes chaos, and unfiltered sibling energy. Jay drops a mid-show confession, Bruce reacts, and the conversation shifts from a viral custody clip, child support debates, and internet accountability culture to the Topgolf Germantown shooting reaction. Then it gets deeper: the “pause” language debate, allyship vs. anti-homophobia, and LGBTQ accountability. We also unpack body image struggles, masculinity, burnout, introvert life, aging, and Bruce’s “I don’t like going anywhere” era. Real talk. Real laughs. About The Guest(s):
Bruce Anthony is the host of Unsolicited Perspectives, known for blending humor, cultural commentary, personal reflection, and social critique. In this episode, he gives listeners a sneak peek into After Hours Uncensored content while reflecting on burnout, growth, masculinity, body image, allyship, and aging out of “the streets.”
Jay Aundrea is Bruce’s sister and recurring co-host. She brings grounded commentary, dry humor, and thoughtful counterpoints to Bruce’s reflections. In this episode, she openly admits she is high during recording, adding an unfiltered and comedic energy to the conversation while still engaging deeply in topics like parenting responsibility, public safety, body image, and social expectations.
Key Takeaways:
300 Episodes = Burnout + Growth: Bruce reflects on approaching the 300th episode and the mental fatigue of constantly generating topics, while also feeling proud of the consistency and content archive built over the years.
Membership & Vault Content Expansion: The show has nearly three years of Patreon and YouTube membership content, including behind-the-scenes footage and uncensored conversations.
Authenticity > Perfection: Bruce openly discusses his speech impediment, word fumbles, and recent increase in mistakes — choosing transparency over polish.
Jay’s “I’m High” Moment: Jay admits mid-episode that she’s high, leading to humorous tension but also commentary on responsibility and performance.
Custody & Parental Responsibility Debate: A viral custody story sparks discussion about child support, gendered double standards, online commentary, and how the child is often the one who suffers most.
Public Safety Reality Check: News about a shooting at Topgolf shifts the tone into a discussion about safety, risk tolerance, and modern social environments.
Allyship vs. Just Talking: Bruce questions whether he is truly an LGBTQ+ ally or simply someone who talks about being one. He discusses the harm behind casual phrases like “pause” and explores the difference between being “not racist” and actively anti-racist.
Aging Out of the Streets: Both Bruce and Jay reflect on being tired of nightlife, events, concerts, and forced social outings. Comfort, peace, and staying home now outweigh the hype of public events.
Body Image & Masculinity: Bruce candidly shares discomfort with his body and how that impacts his willingness to go out. He challenges the idea that men don’t experience body image issues.
Teaching > Attention: Bruce clarifies he doesn’t want attention — he wants to teach and introduce people to new perspectives. The podcast is a vehicle for education and dialogue, not ego validation.
Learning What You Care About: Bruce realizes he loves learning — just not being told what to learn. He reflects on choosing Eastern European history in college out of ego instead of genuine interest.

[00:00:45] After Hours Uncensored Episode + Bloopers 🎙️👀🔥
[00:00:45] Bruce Anthony: Giving you a little sneak peek if our after hours uncensored and some [00:00:50] behind the scenes scenes that we cut of bloopers of me, [00:00:55] Ms. Pat words. That's enough of the intro. Let's get to the [00:01:00] show.
[00:01:08] Bruce Anthony: [00:01:05] We are rapidly [00:01:10] approaching the 300th episode. It is an accomplishment that I'm [00:01:15] very proud of. Uh, quite honestly, I am tired [00:01:20] and tried to come up with topics to talk about by myself, [00:01:25] and so I kind of mailed this one in, not even phoned it in, I kind of mailed this one in, but in [00:01:30] me mailing it in. I'm giving you guys a special treat and after hours uncensored.
[00:01:34] Bruce Anthony: [00:01:35] Now, I've done this before, giving you either sneak peeks or snippets. This is a full [00:01:40] episode. This episode was recorded two and a half years ago. That's how [00:01:45] much content we have on our Patreon. We have enough content to stretch almost, [00:01:50] no, definitely three years worth of content on our Patreon and our [00:01:55] YouTube
[00:01:55] "3 Years of Patreon Content" Flex 😤📚💰
[00:01:55] Bruce Anthony: membership.
[00:01:55] Bruce Anthony: So once again. Go to uncensored [00:02:00] perspectives.com. You can find a link to the YouTube membership, the link to our Patreon. You could [00:02:05] do one or the or the other. All of this stuff by behind the scenes, all the [00:02:10] after hours uncensored, which are our uncensored shows, obviously because it's after hours uncensored [00:02:15] with me and my sister.
[00:02:16] Bruce Anthony: I've given you guys little sneak peeks. Look, I. [00:02:20] Went back and watched this episode 'cause I had to clear some things and make sure that we, you [00:02:25] know, didn't say any names about certain people. You know, some of these, some of the topics weren't too [00:02:30] dated. And I think it's funny, I don't typically watch the shows or [00:02:35] watch 'em back and so to, to, to listen to something that we [00:02:40] recorded two and a half years ago that was, that really made me chuckle.[00:02:45]
[00:02:45] Bruce Anthony: It's, I'm, I'm kind of proud of it, so.
[00:02:48] Bruce Admits the Lisp + Word Fumbles 😂🗣️😅
[00:02:48] Bruce Anthony: Go ahead guys. Check out this [00:02:50] full after hours uncensored. There's almost 40 minutes long. And then after that, [00:02:55] a couple of recent shows, you guys probably pick up on it way more than I notice that I [00:03:00] do it. I have a speech impediment for the most [00:03:05] part. I do a good job hiding my lisp, hiding uh, my [00:03:10] inability to enunciate words.
[00:03:11] Bruce Anthony: A good friend of mine says she listens to the show all the time [00:03:15] and she's like, you got a lot of mess up. And you know what? That's just that [00:03:20] it is what it is at this point. 300 episodes plus, I don't know how many different episodes [00:03:25] of after hours uncensored. And my talk is straightish, which I don't really do anymore, but I'm gonna get [00:03:30] back into doing it.
[00:03:31] Bruce Anthony: Um. It's not even gonna be talking straightish anymore. It's called [00:03:35] Messy, and that's on a YouTube membership. But yeah. I mess up [00:03:40] on words all the time. Sometimes it's freaking hilarious. And recently I've been [00:03:45] doing it a lot lately. Um, I don't know what's going on. Age being [00:03:50] tired, doing too many shows, doing too much work.
[00:03:52] Bruce Anthony: I don't know what it is, but it's [00:03:55] been real bad lately, but it's also been low key. Hilarious. So after, [00:04:00] after the after hours uncensored, there'll be some. Stuff that got [00:04:05] cut that I'm gonna present to you, that we will start to put on our [00:04:10] YouTube membership as well. It'll be behind the scenes stuff of when we're recording the stuff that, that [00:04:15] we're talking about in between the segments, the prep, all that stuff.
[00:04:18] Bruce Anthony: It'll all be on our YouTube [00:04:20] membership, so. This is a sneak peek of this content that you can get [00:04:25] on our YouTube membership. You can find all the [00:04:30] information@unsolicitedperspectives.com. If you have not subscribed to our YouTube page, please subscribe. 'cause once again, [00:04:35] we have exclusive YouTube videos every week that you can [00:04:40] only find on YouTube.
[00:04:41] Bruce Anthony: So. Join our YouTube. If you haven't done it, I know you're [00:04:45] like, well, Bruce, I listen to the audio. There's more content on our YouTube. There's more content on our [00:04:50] YouTube. So not saying that don't listen to the audio, but also you could do both. [00:04:55] You can listen to the full shows and audio and then go check out our YouTube [00:05:00] exclusive content on video, and then join the membership [00:05:05] where you get exclusive content.
[00:05:07] Bruce Anthony: I might even start doing live streaming of my Sunday [00:05:10] fun days. Huh. You can actually find out what I'm doing on my Sunday fun days. Is this gonna be [00:05:15] me talking to myself? But it might be funny. I don't know. Check it [00:05:20] out. But without further ado, here's the after hours [00:05:25] uncensored.
[00:05:25] Jay Aundrea: Well,
[00:05:25] Jay Aundrea: let me tell
[00:05:25] Bruce Anthony: not, it's not, it's not like it normally is. I, I gotta figure out what that
[00:05:29] Jay Aundrea: be [00:05:30] transparent with you guys now.
[00:05:32] Bruce Anthony: Uhhuh.
[00:05:32] Jay Aundrea: Am high.
[00:05:33] Bruce Anthony: I knew you was fucking [00:05:35] high.
[00:05:35] Jay Aundrea: Yeah,
[00:05:37] Bruce Anthony: Why did you do that when you knew
[00:05:39] Jay Aundrea: I don't know.[00:05:40]
[00:05:40] Bruce Anthony: Damnit Jay? I knew you was high.
[00:05:43] Jay Aundrea: I didn't think I was gonna be that high.
[00:05:44] Bruce Anthony: [00:05:45] Yeah. Nah. I was like, why isn't she fucking talking?
[00:05:48] Jay Aundrea: I was talking.
[00:05:49] Bruce Anthony: I'm [00:05:50] telling you Jay, you were not talking that
[00:05:51] Jay: "I'm High." Bruce: "I KNEW IT." 🌿😳🤣
[00:05:51] Bruce Anthony: much.
[00:05:53] Jay Aundrea: I feel like I was [00:05:55] talking,
[00:05:55] Bruce Anthony: I mean you were saying some stuff, but like that completely disproves our whole [00:06:00] argument that weed is okay. 'cause you obviously cannot do, I don't even know why you did [00:06:05] that.
[00:06:06] Jay Aundrea: I don't know either. Um, I, it was a [00:06:10] while ago. I, I thought I'd come down by now.
[00:06:13] Bruce Anthony: I thought you had to work today.[00:06:15]
[00:06:15] Jay Aundrea: Yeah. [00:06:20] Hell, do you think I
[00:06:20] Jay Aundrea: get through my work day?
[00:06:21] Bruce Anthony: Well, I can't carry this damn show 'cause my lips is, is [00:06:25] on fire and I'm
[00:06:27] Jay Aundrea: I thought you put the Vaseline
[00:06:28] Bruce Anthony: I did, but you know [00:06:30] it don't help immediately.
[00:06:32] Jay Aundrea: Yeah. Well, uh,
[00:06:34] Bruce Anthony: [00:06:35] Tell me about this. Tell me about the dude, whatever and what he was doing with the woman.[00:06:40]
[00:06:40] Jay Aundrea: so.
[00:06:42] Bruce Anthony: You like that setup?
[00:06:44] Jay Aundrea: That was [00:06:45] terrible. Uh, so let me think. So [00:06:50] this is a guy, he was with a girl. Uh, they got [00:06:55] pregnant, I believe he left and [00:07:00] she tried to put him on child support. He didn't wanna pay child support, [00:07:05] so he petitioned for full custody and she didn't [00:07:10] fight him. And so he got full custody.
[00:07:13] Jay Aundrea: She has said [00:07:15] several times in court that she does not want any, she does not [00:07:20] wanna be a parent.
[00:07:20] Jay Aundrea: She does not want anything
[00:07:21] Bruce Anthony: Well why'd she, why'd she have the kid then?[00:07:25]
[00:07:26] Jay Aundrea: That'd probably be, he wanted a baby or something. She said in a [00:07:30] text message that I love their child, [00:07:35] but I hate you so much it's outweighing.[00:07:40]
[00:07:40] Bruce Anthony: Wow.
[00:07:41] Jay Aundrea: And that I'm not gonna fight.
[00:07:44] Bruce Anthony: She needs to deal with that [00:07:45] hatred,
[00:07:46] Jay Aundrea: Yes. Yeah.
[00:07:47] Bruce Anthony: to deal with that
[00:07:47] Custody Story: "She Don't Wanna Be a Parent" 👶⚖️😬
[00:07:47] Bruce Anthony: hatred, but okay.
[00:07:48] Jay Aundrea: But it's [00:07:50] just the reaction of he tried that day, [00:07:55] the day the uh, video went viral. He tried to [00:08:00] drop his son off for her weekly visitation, and she didn't [00:08:05] answer the door. Now again. [00:08:10] Why even, why even attempt that when she has said several times in [00:08:15] court that she doesn't want to be a parent,
[00:08:17] Bruce Anthony: Maybe he didn't think, maybe he didn't think that she was [00:08:20] like being honest or whatever.
[00:08:22] Jay Aundrea: I guess. But, um, so [00:08:25] it's just him kind of ranting in the car about, [00:08:30] you know, people not taking care of their responsibilities and the response from women.
[00:08:34] Bruce Anthony: Yeah, because [00:08:35] didn't he bounce.
[00:08:36] Jay Aundrea: Yes.
[00:08:37] Bruce Anthony: Then he or he originally bounced,
[00:08:39] Jay Aundrea: [00:08:40] originally bounced
[00:08:40] Bruce Anthony: but then he came back around.
[00:08:42] Jay Aundrea: no, because she wanted to put him on child [00:08:45] support and he
[00:08:45] Jay Aundrea: didn't wanna pay child support. He petitioned for full custody. [00:08:50] He probably didn't think he was gonna get it.
[00:08:53] Bruce Anthony: No, he definitely, because [00:08:55] typically men don't.
[00:08:55] Jay Aundrea: No. Um, but she chose not to fight him [00:09:00] on it.
[00:09:00] Bruce Anthony: Okay.
[00:09:02] Jay Aundrea: So it's just a response from women who are [00:09:05] in similar situations. And when we complain [00:09:10] about child's father not stepping up, we get told [00:09:15] we should have chose better. So a lot of the comments in the comments [00:09:20] section, or he should have chose better. Oh, well, if you kept your legs close, [00:09:25] you might not
[00:09:25] Jay Aundrea: be in this situation.
[00:09:28] Bruce Anthony: eh. Uh, [00:09:30] I don't really, I mean,
[00:09:32] Jay Aundrea: The only
[00:09:32] Jay Aundrea: person that ever suffer is the child. The
[00:09:34] Jay Aundrea: [00:09:35] child is the one that's really, yeah.
[00:09:37] Bruce Anthony: And, uh, I mean, he can hit her off for child [00:09:40] support. He can get some, he can get some help, you know, if you got full custody, I mean, she gotta pay child support, so, [00:09:45] you know, and, and it's a, what is it, boy or a girl?
[00:09:49] Jay Aundrea: I [00:09:50] believe it's a boy. I believe it's a little
[00:09:51] Bruce Anthony: I mean, he got his little man, man, he don't wanna take care of his little man.
[00:09:54] Bruce Anthony: Man. [00:09:55] He probably look if you, if you want some help, just go ahead and boo up
[00:09:59] Jay Aundrea: [00:10:00] Yeah,
[00:10:00] Bruce Anthony: then, you know, get you a girlfriend.
[00:10:02] Jay Aundrea: be your only solution
[00:10:03] Bruce Anthony: Yeah. That's gonna be it.[00:10:05]
[00:10:05] Bruce Anthony: Yeah, that's gonna be it. All right. Well, I mean, yeah, there wasn't, that was dly [00:10:10] dabbling. I don't, and we would've had to play it. And that clip was long.
[00:10:13] Jay Aundrea: Yeah, it was a long
[00:10:14] Bruce Anthony: [00:10:15] It was long. It, it was so long.
[00:10:16] Bruce Anthony: I was just like, all right, I get the point. I don't wanna listen to this no more. Because it was [00:10:20] just, it was real, almost like four minutes. And I was like, all right, man. Like
[00:10:23] Jay Aundrea: Four minutes is not, four [00:10:25] minutes is not that long.
[00:10:25] Bruce Anthony: It's not that long. If I'm like looking at it on a television, if I'm looking at it on my [00:10:30] phone, I don't wanna watch something for that long.
[00:10:31] Bruce Anthony: I.
[00:10:31] Jay Aundrea: You know what? That's fair. [00:10:35] 'cause I will find myself skipping forward if, if I'm like watching this [00:10:40] a particularly long TikTok or something, I will skip.
[00:10:43] Jay Aundrea: Yeah, you right. Yeah,
[00:10:44] Bruce Anthony: it's something [00:10:45] about that little, that little phone, like, I don't know how, I don't know how this, this young generation be watching [00:10:50] whole movies on the phone. I'm like, no, I can't do that. Gimme a big, I don't [00:10:55] even know if I, I could, I could force myself to watch a whole movie on my iPad. [00:11:00] If I have to force myself, I would still prefer to do it on my laptop.
[00:11:03] Bruce Anthony: 'cause the screen is bigger.[00:11:05]
[00:11:05] Jay Aundrea: I have watched a whole movie on my, I mean, I,
[00:11:07] Bruce Anthony: I mean.
[00:11:08] Jay Aundrea: it on flights.[00:11:10]
[00:11:10] Bruce Anthony: On flights, but I'm talking about like if you at home
[00:11:14] Jay Aundrea: Um,
[00:11:14] Jay Aundrea: [00:11:15] yeah, I've watched, I've watched whole movies on my iPad.
[00:11:17] Bruce Anthony: why when you're at home.[00:11:20]
[00:11:20] Jay Aundrea: I know I have a TV in every room
[00:11:22] Jay Aundrea: and they are never on. [00:11:25] This is the first time, this is the only time this TV is ever on.[00:11:30]
[00:11:30] Bruce Anthony: So you just, so you, you just wanna be like dead and have TVs all over the place.
[00:11:34] Jay Aundrea: It is for the [00:11:35] guests. It's not for me.
[00:11:36] Bruce Anthony: You ain't got no guests no more.
[00:11:38] Jay Aundrea: no, I mean like when mom [00:11:40] comes, people come visit me. It is for the guests, [00:11:45] like their TVs are for them. They're not for me. I don't watch
[00:11:49] Topgolf Germantown Shooting News Drop 🏌️♂️🚨😳
[00:11:49] Jay Aundrea: television.[00:11:50]
[00:11:50] Bruce Anthony: Just to let you know, uh, somebody got shot at that top golf that we were talking [00:11:55] about, going to
[00:11:56] Jay Aundrea: The one in PG or the one in Germantown,
[00:11:59] Bruce Anthony: one in Germantown.[00:12:00]
[00:12:00] Jay Aundrea: somebody got shot
[00:12:02] Bruce Anthony: Yes. Somebody got
[00:12:03] Jay Aundrea: at a top[00:12:05]
[00:12:05] Bruce Anthony: at a top golf. Yeah. Hold on, let me find a, lemme find a news article. But yes. Somebody got [00:12:10] shot
[00:12:10] Bruce Anthony: at a top golf in Germantown not too long ago. [00:12:15] Um, hold on. Lemme find it.
[00:12:16] Jay Aundrea: So are we not doing
[00:12:18] Bruce Anthony: No, we, we still gonna do what? We just [00:12:20] gotta make sure that we don't stay past midnight.
[00:12:22] Jay Aundrea: Okay. And just
[00:12:23] Bruce Anthony: That's, that's it.
[00:12:23] Bruce Anthony: Yeah. Well, I, [00:12:25] I, I ain't got no, you know, I ain't got no strap. You know that, that ain't, that ain't my lifestyle. I don't do that.[00:12:30]
[00:12:31] Jay Aundrea: Yeah, I'm calling the police. I don't know about nothing
[00:12:33] Bruce Anthony: I'm call the author. I'm [00:12:35] call the authorities.
[00:12:36] Jay Aundrea: and I will press everything.
[00:12:39] Bruce Anthony: I'm calling the [00:12:40] authorities. All right? Yes. Topgolf Germantown. Employee shot [00:12:45] shortly after mid midnight. Shortly after midnight, yep. Shortly after midnight, Tuesday at [00:12:50] 12:06 AM My German county police responded to a report of a shooting at Topgolf in Germantown, [00:12:55] uh, police say on Tuesday, August 29th. So it was, wait a minute.[00:13:00]
[00:13:04] Jay Aundrea: oh [00:13:05] my God.
[00:13:06] Bruce Anthony: uh, on, on Tuesday, August 29th at approximately 12:06 [00:13:10] AM
[00:13:10] Jay Aundrea: Two days ago.
[00:13:11] Bruce Anthony: literally it was yesterday. 'cause 1206. No. Okay. It's [00:13:15] 1206 on Tuesday, so it's 1206 on it was Tuesday. Um, [00:13:20] MCP Montgomery County Police officers responded to top golf and, uh. At [00:13:25] it says the address, but I'm not gonna get the address. The preliminary investigation has revealed that an unknown suspect [00:13:30] fired his firearm for reasons that are still under investigation.
[00:13:32] Bruce Anthony: And two Topgolf employees, adult [00:13:35] males were shot. One was shot in the leg and the other one was shot in the torso area. Both Fi [00:13:40] both victims were transported to the area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The [00:13:45] suspect left the scene in an unknown vehicle.
[00:13:47] Jay Aundrea: I am gonna be [00:13:50] honest
[00:13:50] Jay Aundrea: of all the places to shoot me. Please don't shoot me my legs.[00:13:55]
[00:13:56] Bruce Anthony: Charlie Murphy told us on, uh, day Chappelle show that you shoot somebody in the [00:14:00] leg that they can't charge you with attempted murder. You shoot below the [00:14:05] waist, you can't be charged with attempted murder.
[00:14:06] Jay Aundrea: I just feel like there's nowhere you can get hit on your leg that [00:14:10] doesn't shatter something.
[00:14:11] Bruce Anthony: Um, no, [00:14:15] you can, you can get shot through the thigh and it can go through and through.
[00:14:18] Jay Aundrea: I guess, but then you're, [00:14:20] where the fear is the femoral artery. You could
[00:14:22] Jay Aundrea: end up bleeding out.
[00:14:23] Bruce Anthony: Yeah. You could end up bleeding out, [00:14:25] but it can go
[00:14:25] Jay Aundrea: Don't shoot me in my legs. Like I'm,
[00:14:28] Bruce Anthony: or you would rather get shot in a torso.[00:14:30]
[00:14:30] Jay Aundrea: yes.
[00:14:31] Bruce Anthony: Nah, I don't know about
[00:14:32] Jay Aundrea: Yeah, no, don't shoot me my legs.
[00:14:34] Bruce Anthony: Tell you [00:14:35] what, don't shoot me.
[00:14:37] Jay Aundrea: hey, step one, [00:14:40] don't shoot. Um,
[00:14:42] Bruce Anthony: You know what? I think I am gonna edit the [00:14:45] episode that we just did, and I'm gonna put a disclaimer at the beginning. Hey ladies and gentlemen, just to let you [00:14:50] know, I found out after we filmed that this episode that my sister was high, [00:14:55]
[00:14:55] Jay Aundrea: I think, I think you're gonna go back and watch it and be like, oh, she talked a lot [00:15:00] more than I thought
[00:15:00] Bruce Anthony: Noah Jay, I'm telling you there were, I would do the normal thing [00:15:05] that I normally do would say something and then look at you. 'cause I'm waiting for your response. You just like this. [00:15:10] And there were some long pauses that I'm gonna have to edit out because, because you just [00:15:15] didn't say anything. And I was like, okay, well I guess I'll just keep reading
[00:15:18] Jay Aundrea: to continue. Because,
[00:15:19] Bruce Anthony: No, [00:15:20] it.
[00:15:20] Jay Aundrea: because usually you have notes and you read your notes, and then I say [00:15:25] something and then you
[00:15:25] Bruce Anthony: Yeah, I read the notes and finished reading the notes, and then because I, I [00:15:30] look off screen, then I look at in on the screen and look at you and you was just like,
[00:15:34] Jay Aundrea: [00:15:35] And also I see you on a delay. So if
[00:15:39] Bruce Anthony: [00:15:40] you do
[00:15:40] Jay Aundrea: yeah,
[00:15:42] Bruce Anthony: see, fix your
[00:15:43] Jay Aundrea: because your [00:15:45] internet. Because your internet sometime, like right now, your [00:15:50] video is fine, but other times, sometimes your video s in because your [00:15:55] internet is bad,
[00:15:56] Bruce Anthony: No. Never have an issue with anybody else
[00:15:59] Bruce Anthony: unless they're [00:16:00] in No, unless they're internet is bad.
[00:16:02] Jay Aundrea: They just don't tell you.
[00:16:03] Bruce Anthony: Okay. All right. [00:16:05] Whatever.
[00:16:13] Bruce Anthony: [00:16:10] I'm doing my first interview, [00:16:15] uh, on Tuesday.
[00:16:17] Jay Aundrea: No, I know that's not your Oh, you're being interviewed.
[00:16:19] Bruce Anthony: [00:16:20] Yeah. I'm being interviewed.
[00:16:21] Jay Aundrea: Oh, cool.
[00:16:22] Bruce Anthony: Yeah. It's the
[00:16:23] Jay Aundrea: that?
[00:16:24] Bruce Anthony: well, I
[00:16:24] Bruce Gets Asked to Be Interviewed (Wait…About WHAT?) 🎤🤔😅
[00:16:24] Bruce Anthony: [00:16:25] interviewed.
[00:16:29] Bruce Anthony: I wanna say [00:16:30] Rick. Yes, Rick Clemons. He was, uh, the guy that that talked about coming out [00:16:35] later in life,
[00:16:36] Jay Aundrea: Yes.
[00:16:37] Bruce Anthony: uh, and he has his own podcast and he was like, I would love to [00:16:40] have you on a podcast. And I was like, this is the first time that I've ever accepted. So I was like, yeah, because the interview [00:16:45] with him was really good.
[00:16:46] Bruce Anthony: And, uh, I thought he was a, a. Person, and I [00:16:50] was like, yeah, I'll do a home at home. That's what they call it in basketball. A home at home. I was like, I'll do a home at home. I don't know what the fuck we're gonna talk [00:16:55] about. I'm like, eventually you gotta send me the questions of what you gonna be asking me.
[00:16:58] Bruce Anthony: Right? Like, [00:17:00] like, what's this interview gonna be about? Like, like I, because I don't know [00:17:05] what we gonna talk about. So I, I'm hoping I'm gonna reach out to him. I'm, I'm gonna reach out to him tomorrow because [00:17:10] tomorrow's Friday. Be like, yo, Rick, like we're meeting on Tuesday. Like, what are we gonna talk about?
[00:17:14] Bruce Anthony: [00:17:15] Um. Because if you asking, if you're asking me to tell you about [00:17:20] my life, it's gonna be a short fucking interview. 'cause I already did that. I already did that [00:17:25] episode and even in that
[00:17:26] Jay Aundrea: what I was wondering. I was like, is he interviewing you because [00:17:30] that's,
[00:17:31] Bruce Anthony: I like, I'm give you real short answers. [00:17:35] If you wanna talk about my, like my personal, personal, like, if he wants to talk to me about like my [00:17:40] evolution of how I
[00:17:41] "Am I REALLY an Ally…or Just Talking?" 🏳️🌈🧠🫣
[00:17:41] Bruce Anthony: went from being homophobic to where I consider [00:17:45] myself an ally. Um. It'd be a, I would really like [00:17:50] to talk to gay people and transgender people, people in the LGBTQ plus [00:17:55] community to really see if I'm really an ally or if I just talk a bunch of shit.
[00:17:59] Bruce Anthony: I, I, [00:18:00] I would, I would. 'cause
[00:18:01] Jay Aundrea: hard to know sometimes.
[00:18:02] Bruce Anthony: yeah. You know, it's hard because there are some white folks out there, but [00:18:05] like, I'm an ally for black people and I'm like, no, you're just not racist, but you're not anti-racist. There's a [00:18:10] difference.
[00:18:10] Bruce Anthony: Uh, I think I'm anti homophobic and transphobic. I [00:18:15] think I am, but I don't, I do tell people.
[00:18:18] Bruce Anthony: I'm not a big fan of [00:18:20] saying like, pause.
[00:18:21] Jay Aundrea: Mm-hmm.
[00:18:22] Bruce Anthony: 'cause the connotation is you just said something [00:18:25] that would be considered flamboyant, homosexual, which would be [00:18:30] derogatory towards a male.
[00:18:31] The "Pause" Debate + Why It's Not Harmless 🛑🗣️😬
[00:18:31] Jay Aundrea: Yeah.
[00:18:32] Bruce Anthony: And I'm like, well, that's offensive. [00:18:35] So I don't, because the whole implication is. So I had to school somebody [00:18:40] recently who was like, you can't say pause anymore.
[00:18:41] Bruce Anthony: I was like, yo, it's just like, it's, it's not the n word, [00:18:45] but it's, I I'm trying to think of something that's equivalent to black people. What [00:18:50] pause would be to gay people?
[00:18:52] Jay Aundrea: Um,
[00:18:54] Bruce Anthony: [00:18:55] No, I, I Maybe hood or, that's real hood. Oh, okay. So something like [00:19:00] that. And you would be like, yo. Don't say no shit like that. To me that's offensive.
[00:19:03] Bruce Anthony: So,
[00:19:04] Bruce Anthony: so when I [00:19:05] broke it down to 'em, they kind of understood. But that's not gonna stop him from saying Paul's
[00:19:08] Bruce Anthony: and hell [00:19:10] myself. I have to catch myself from saying it 'cause I've said it [00:19:15] all throughout my life. It's just like when you saying something that's supposedly [00:19:20] suspect and then you have Cameron who came out with his, with his, uh, podcast.
[00:19:24] Bruce Anthony: It is what it [00:19:25] is, and all they talk about him and Mace, all they do is like, wow, that's [00:19:30] crazy. Yo paws, like for everything. And it's just like, God. It's funny, [00:19:35] but it's funny because I'm not gay and so I'm like. [00:19:40] Damn, should I even be laughing at this? But it's funny, but obviously there's some white people out [00:19:45] there that listen to racist jokes that they find funny, but it's still a racist joke.
[00:19:49] Bruce Anthony: So it's like, [00:19:50] man, I'd be So, I'm like, am I really an ally or do I just be talking a bunch of shit? So that would [00:19:55] be, if he wants to talk about that, I am more than willing to talk about that
[00:19:59] Bruce Anthony: all day [00:20:00] long if he is like, so tell me about your childhood. [00:20:05] Nope.
[00:20:05] Jay Aundrea: No, thanks.
[00:20:07] Bruce Anthony: you ain't getting, you ain't getting that. Yeah, you ain't [00:20:10] getting that type of information outta me.
[00:20:11] Bruce Anthony: How is your relationship with your parents? Yep.
[00:20:13] Jay Aundrea: Now
[00:20:14] Bruce Anthony: [00:20:15] Yep. We not gonna go there.
[00:20:16] Jay Aundrea: back to episode 37.
[00:20:19] Bruce Anthony: It was episode [00:20:20] 50,
[00:20:21] Jay Aundrea: It was episode 50.
[00:20:22] Bruce Anthony: Jay. God damn. You are [00:20:25] literally really high right now. Yes. It was literally the 50th episode.
[00:20:29] Bruce Anthony: [00:20:30] Yes.
[00:20:30] Jay Aundrea: Yes. Thank you.
[00:20:31] Bruce Anthony: Jesus.
[00:20:32] Jay Aundrea: When are we gonna hit a hundred? 100?
[00:20:34] Bruce Anthony: This [00:20:35] is 74.
[00:20:36] Jay Aundrea: Really?
[00:20:37] Bruce Anthony: Yeah, it's 74.
[00:20:39] Jay Aundrea: That's [00:20:40] crazy.
[00:20:40] Bruce Anthony: So 13 more weeks, but it won't be 13 more weeks, so like three months. [00:20:45] So it will hit it sometime in December, early December.
[00:20:48] Jay Aundrea: Okay.
[00:20:49] Bruce Anthony: Maybe it'll be middle [00:20:50] December. 'cause I, I feel like we're gonna take Thanksgiving week off. I
[00:20:54] Jay Aundrea: Okay.
[00:20:54] Bruce Anthony: feel [00:20:55] like that's a week to take off. So.
[00:20:57] Jay Aundrea: I Are we gonna try to do [00:21:00] one where we're in the same room?
[00:21:01] Bruce Anthony: I wanna do that for the hundredth episode, and since it'll be [00:21:05] around Christmas,
[00:21:06] Jay Aundrea: Yeah,
[00:21:07] Bruce Anthony: this might,
[00:21:07] Jay Aundrea: Christmas plans, so.
[00:21:09] Bruce Anthony: this might be the [00:21:10] year that you have to come up here for Christmas, because everybody will be up here this [00:21:15] year.
[00:21:15] Jay Aundrea: Hmm. Okay.
[00:21:17] Bruce Anthony: Yo dammit. [00:21:20] Which also means that I can't do my little, you know, our brother moving [00:21:25] back kind of screwed my plans. 'cause I can always say, I can always say during the holidays, [00:21:30] you know. Hey, mom and dad, I'm not gonna visit either one of y'all because it feels like it's [00:21:35] disservice to both of y'all and I'm not gonna be driving all over the place, so I'm just gonna spend the holidays by myself.
[00:21:39] Bruce Anthony: But now [00:21:40] our brother is here, so he gonna do something
[00:21:42] Bruce Anthony: and then he's gonna be like, well, your brother's coming. I'm [00:21:45] like, that ain't got shit to do with me. I'm still gonna stick with my[00:21:50]
[00:21:51] Bruce Anthony: Ain't got shit to do with me.
[00:21:54] Jay Aundrea: Um.
[00:21:54] Bruce Anthony: gonna get some [00:21:55] Chinese food.
[00:21:56] Jay Aundrea: I'm happy for you, but that don't have shit to do with me.
[00:21:58] Bruce Anthony: Some shit to do. [00:22:00] Me, not a damn thing, but I, so I, [00:22:05] I would imagine, I would imagine that dad will probably send you a plane ticket to fly [00:22:10] up here
[00:22:11] Jay Aundrea: Mm-hmm.
[00:22:12] Bruce Anthony: for Christmas. 'cause we'll all be up [00:22:15] here and we'll be forced to all see each other[00:22:20]
[00:22:21] Bruce Anthony: will be forced. It'll be a force.
[00:22:24] Jay Aundrea: [00:22:25] Or, or you can just come down here for Christmas and we can just [00:22:30] film here.
[00:22:30] Bruce Anthony: Why that would make no sense, because that would leave the three of them up [00:22:35] here and then the two of us down there.
[00:22:37] Jay Aundrea: yes. And they can spend a lovely [00:22:40] Christmas together and we can film the hundredth episode.
[00:22:43] Bruce Anthony: Well, we'll see how [00:22:45] that goes because
[00:22:47] Jay Aundrea: Well, no, actually mom won't [00:22:50] be, she, she'll be in Puerto Rico, I think.
[00:22:52] Bruce Anthony: What? You know what? Okay. Uh, [00:22:55] well, we'll see me traveling. You know, I was talking shit about going to Memphis during, [00:23:00] uh, Halloween, but as long as crypto is acting like he is right now, I ain't leaving.[00:23:05]
[00:23:05] Jay Aundrea: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:23:06] Bruce Anthony: ain't leaving,
[00:23:07] Jay Aundrea: No, that's fair.
[00:23:08] Bruce Anthony: I ain't going nowhere [00:23:10] 'cause that'd be the last thing I want is to go someplace. And then I come back and my dog is dead.
[00:23:14] Jay Aundrea: [00:23:15] Yeah. Well, I will be back, uh, for dad's birthday and then I'm coming back again. [00:23:20] Then following month for uh [00:23:25] uh, Ali Sadique.
[00:23:28] Bruce Anthony: Oh, okay. Y'all, you going, I'm not [00:23:30] going to that, by the way.
[00:23:31] Jay Aundrea: Why?
[00:23:32] Bruce Anthony: I don't want to.
[00:23:34] Jay Aundrea: All right.[00:23:35]
[00:23:35] Bruce Anthony: Yeah, I
[00:23:35] Bruce: "I Don't Like Going Anywhere." Period. 🏠🥂😌
[00:23:35] Bruce Anthony: just, I was like, eh, I really don't like going to comedy shows. [00:23:40] I really don't.
[00:23:41] Jay Aundrea: Really,
[00:23:42] Bruce Anthony: Nah. I really, I don't like, I,
[00:23:44] Bruce Anthony: I [00:23:45] don't, I don't like going to see events. I don't like going to see, [00:23:50] I don't like going to see concerts. I don't like going to the movies no more.
[00:23:53] Bruce Anthony: No. 'cause I
[00:23:53] Jay Aundrea: I'm gonna be, I'm [00:23:55] gonna be honest. I'm gonna be honest, I'm not. Okay. Did I like the [00:24:00] Beyonce concert? Yes. But was it just a concert also? Yes. [00:24:05] Like, like so the fact that people hype it up so much and then I. Like, [00:24:10] as I'm into it and as she gets a couple songs in, I'm like, oh, this is a concert. And then I go sit [00:24:15] down.
[00:24:15] Jay Aundrea: I'm like, like,
[00:24:18] Bruce Anthony: I
[00:24:18] Jay Aundrea: oh, we gonna be here for [00:24:20] a while,
[00:24:20] Bruce Anthony: I will say, wh when I, when I went to go see Janet, it was just [00:24:25] Janet. I don't remember them being any open acts. I or we or we got there late. [00:24:30] And so I was up on my feet the entire time because I was on the floor.
[00:24:33] Jay Aundrea: Yeah.
[00:24:34] Bruce Anthony: [00:24:35] Um, but yes, you remember like when we first moved to DC and Dad would always make us go to the con.
[00:24:39] Bruce Anthony: I say [00:24:40] Make us, but he did. I did not want to go see bad boys in the family.
[00:24:44] Jay Aundrea: Oh, you didn't [00:24:45] wanna go to that?
[00:24:45] Bruce Anthony: No, I didn't wanna, it wa it was a very good concert and I'm [00:24:50] glad that I actually went, but I did not want to go 'cause I wasn't a bad boy and a family [00:24:55] fan.
[00:24:55] Jay Aundrea: well, let's be honest. There's very few. If it was somebody else's idea, you didn't like to go.[00:25:00]
[00:25:00] Bruce Anthony: I didn't like being forced to go. I, I didn't have a choice.
[00:25:04] Jay Aundrea: We [00:25:05] bought the ticket. We're going,
[00:25:06] Bruce Anthony: no, we didn't buy the ticket. That, that one I [00:25:10] think we took our cousins to,
[00:25:11] Jay Aundrea: yes.
[00:25:13] Bruce Anthony: but I did want, I was [00:25:15] excited to go see, um, east 90 [00:25:20] 99. Think about back in the days when the Bone thugs
[00:25:23] Jay Aundrea: about the bone thugs? [00:25:25] I was like,
[00:25:25] Bruce Anthony: trying to, I was trying to remember their name.
[00:25:27] Jay Aundrea: most obscure songs that they did.
[00:25:29] Bruce Anthony: No, [00:25:30] east 99. East 99 is one of my favorite songs.
[00:25:33] Jay Aundrea: have said first of the month you
[00:25:34] Jay Aundrea: could have [00:25:35]
[00:25:35] Bruce Anthony: I don't, I don't like the commercial hits. I like East 99.
[00:25:38] Jay Aundrea: okay.[00:25:40]
[00:25:40] Bruce Anthony: Um, but Bone Thugs, I don't remember. Did you, were you there with Bald Thoughts?
[00:25:44] Jay Aundrea: [00:25:45] Yeah, because I remember all the adults left 'cause it was like a [00:25:50] giant skull smoking a joint
[00:25:52] Bruce Anthony: Well, who else was there? Who else
[00:25:54] Jay Aundrea: Kenny [00:25:55] was there. Oh. Who else was Swiss foreman?
[00:25:57] Bruce Anthony: Yeah,
[00:25:58] Jay Aundrea: It was, it was just Puff Daddy and [00:26:00] the whole family. And I just
[00:26:01] Bruce Anthony: puffed. That was the same concert. Are you sure? [00:26:05] I think that was two different concerts.
[00:26:07] Jay Aundrea: I've, I've only been to maybe three [00:26:10] concerts in my entire life,
[00:26:11] Bruce Anthony: Well, one, we took our cousins to, 'cause they were in town visiting us.[00:26:15]
[00:26:15] Jay Aundrea: that was the, I remember Bone Thugs closed that show 'cause, 'cause dad, uncle [00:26:20] Kenny Ma, they all left.
[00:26:21] Bruce Anthony: Damn they did.
[00:26:23] Jay Aundrea: And they went out into, yeah. And [00:26:25] they just stood outside. 'cause it was like, it was smoky and loud and they couldn't take it.
[00:26:29] Bruce Anthony: Oh, because they [00:26:30] was sparking, they was sparking up in that concert.
[00:26:32] Bruce Anthony: And USA arena. Oh, [00:26:35] USA arena.
[00:26:36] Jay Aundrea: yes. So, but that was a, that was a [00:26:40] fun concert. But you don't like going to events.
[00:26:43] Jay Aundrea: That's such a specific [00:26:45] thing, but
[00:26:45] Jay Aundrea: that, yeah.
[00:26:47] Jay Aundrea: That's
[00:26:47] Bruce Anthony: I don't like him. I don't,
[00:26:48] Jay Aundrea: Well, what about the basket [00:26:50] basketball games?
[00:26:51] Bruce Anthony: I don't go to basketball games anymore. [00:26:55] Remember? Remember when dad had the Eagles and the professional football, Washington professional [00:27:00] football team tickets, and you and dad went,
[00:27:02] Bruce Anthony: he had extra tickets for me. I was like, I'm not going out there. It's cold.[00:27:05]
[00:27:05] Jay Aundrea: yeah. It was freezing.
[00:27:06] Bruce Anthony: Yeah, no. Uh, me and my ex, the, we [00:27:10] got tickets. There were tickets that were offered to me to go see the Bears and the Washington.
[00:27:14] Bruce Anthony: They're commanders [00:27:15] now. The Washington Commanders play, and she went, I was like, I'm not, it's cold. I didn't go to [00:27:20] Obama's inauguration. It was too cold at the, at the
[00:27:23] Jay Aundrea: That was a cold day also. That
[00:27:24] Jay Aundrea: [00:27:25] was, it was,
[00:27:26] Bruce Anthony: I don't like events that I, if I can watch it on TV in the comforts of my own home, I'm gonna [00:27:30] choose that. I, I will, the only time I will go to the movie theater is when I have [00:27:35] no other choice but to go to the movie theater to go see a movie.
[00:27:39] Bruce Anthony: [00:27:40] Otherwise, I'm gonna steal it and watch it on, I got a 65 inch TV at home with [00:27:45] surround sound like I, I, I like to, I don't like going out into these things. [00:27:50] la the last comedy show I went to, I took, uh, I took mom and a girl that I was [00:27:55] dating, dating in separate occasions to go see Ryan Davis. [00:28:00] It was cool, you know what I'm saying?
[00:28:03] Bruce Anthony: Like, but I did it for [00:28:05] them. It wasn't for me. I. It was the same jokes, so I was like, [00:28:10] it was like did the same jokes a year later. Like, okay, that kind of makes sense. But I was like, nah, I'm not [00:28:15] going to go see, uh, I, I support the brother. I want him to do well, but I don't [00:28:20] wanna go
[00:28:20] Jay Aundrea: Okay. All right. Well, you don't have to. I'm going.[00:28:25]
[00:28:25] Bruce Anthony: and No, I mean, that's something that you and Yeah. You and you and our brother . I'm like, yeah, yeah.[00:28:30]
[00:28:30] Bruce Anthony: I'm
[00:28:30] Bruce Anthony: like, I,
[00:28:31] Jay Aundrea: So.
[00:28:32] Bruce Anthony: it could be da de Chap Powell had had the [00:28:35] concert. In, in DC that I could have gone to. And I was like, I, I don't wanna go. [00:28:40] I, I, I didn't watch it on tv.
[00:28:42] Jay Aundrea: I just wanna know what the root of that is
[00:28:44] Bruce Anthony: I [00:28:45] just don't like going, I don't like going nowhere.
[00:28:46] Bruce Anthony: That's, I don't like going [00:28:50] nowhere.
[00:28:50] Jay Aundrea: Well then I feel you on that. 'cause I really hate going places and I'm, and I've been just [00:28:55] been doing a lot of track. I feel like I've, every month I'm on a flight and I'm just like, I'm been doing a lot of [00:29:00] moving around and I don't like it.
[00:29:02] Bruce Anthony: You know what I like to do? If you know what I like to do,[00:29:05]
[00:29:05] Bruce Anthony: sit my ass down.
[00:29:06] Jay Aundrea: Sit my ass down.
[00:29:09] Bruce Anthony: [00:29:10] that's
[00:29:10] Jay Aundrea: And don't move.
[00:29:11] Bruce Anthony: Don't move. No. I like to drink my champagne.[00:29:15]
[00:29:15] Jay Aundrea: Mm-hmm.
[00:29:16] Bruce Anthony: Watch my, whether the superhero shows ain't on too much nowadays. [00:29:20] Watch my, watch my little tv.
[00:29:21] Jay Aundrea: Mm-hmm.
[00:29:22] Bruce Anthony: Chill with crypto. That's, That's,
[00:29:24] Jay Aundrea: that's,
[00:29:24] Jay Aundrea: it. [00:29:25]
[00:29:25] Bruce Anthony: I've been partying and hanging out for, for decades. I'm tired now. I'm 43. I'm [00:29:30] tired.
[00:29:30] Jay Aundrea: Yeah.
[00:29:31] Bruce Anthony: That's what I tell folks now. I'm like, I'm 43.
[00:29:33] Bruce Anthony: I ain't about to
[00:29:34] Jay Aundrea: I, [00:29:35] it was, I partied for a really long time and I'm tired.
[00:29:39] Bruce Anthony: I moved to [00:29:40] DC at 16
[00:29:41] Bruce Anthony: and I've been in these streets since 16.[00:29:45]
[00:29:45] Jay Aundrea: right.
[00:29:45] Bruce Anthony: That's, I'm tired. I don't, I don't want no more streets.
[00:29:48] Jay Aundrea: Same. [00:29:50] I really, I'm not made, I'm not made for the streets that that young lady died.
[00:29:54] Bruce Anthony: [00:29:55] People be like, you wanna go out to dinner? Why? We can cook dinner? We can cook dinner, dinner, it won't be as [00:30:00] good. It's an experience.
[00:30:01] Body Image Truth: "I Don't Like How My Clothes Fit" 👕🪞😔
[00:30:01] Bruce Anthony: I, I don't,
[00:30:02] Jay Aundrea: from that same restaurant.
[00:30:04] Bruce Anthony: [00:30:05] and I don't like putting on clothes. I don't like putting on clothes. You, [00:30:10] I, I like, I like when I dress up and I, and I'm nice, right [00:30:15] when I feel comfortable in my body.
[00:30:18] Jay Aundrea: Right.
[00:30:19] Bruce Anthony: [00:30:20] Right now, I don't feel comfortable in my body, so I don't like the way my clothes fit, so I don't wanna go out. [00:30:25] I know that sounds very,
[00:30:29] Jay Aundrea: No, I mean, [00:30:30] you gotta be comfortable when you go
[00:30:31] Jay Aundrea: out. I, I thought that sounded very reasonable.
[00:30:34] Bruce Anthony: [00:30:35] it sounds feminine.
[00:30:37] Jay Aundrea: No, it do. No, because [00:30:40] everybody has got body image issues. Everybody does.
[00:30:42] Bruce Anthony: Uh, most men won't voice it.[00:30:45]
[00:30:45] Jay Aundrea: Yeah, but everybody's got 'em. Yeah,
[00:30:47] Bruce Anthony: Yeah. Well, well, no, my, my best friends will [00:30:50] say, I'll never forget this, Tom, my best friends was like, you know, girls don't even care about [00:30:55] muscles. And I was like,
[00:30:58] Jay Aundrea: some don't.
[00:30:59] Bruce Anthony: I, I [00:31:00] was like, I was like, what are you trying to say? He was like, well, you keep working. Hell [00:31:05] so hard. I was like, lemme tell you something.
[00:31:07] Bruce Anthony: I have not heard, had a woman yet. [00:31:10] Look at my body when I'm in my workout phase and be like. [00:31:15] You work out too much, start working out. That is not what they say. They normally say, well, you had big [00:31:20] arms. I like your muscles. That's what they say. Now if your women are saying [00:31:25] that, it's because they can't say it about you 'cause you're not in shape.
[00:31:29] Bruce Anthony: [00:31:30] But don't knock me for wanting to be in shape.
[00:31:33] Jay Aundrea: Right.[00:31:35]
[00:31:35] Bruce Anthony: They're like, girls don't, women don't even care about that. I'm like, okay. I, I have [00:31:40] evidence to say otherwise, but, okay.
[00:31:42] Jay Aundrea: You're gonna, you're gonna attract, [00:31:45] if you don't have muscles, the kind of women you're gonna attract is not a woman who likes [00:31:50] muscles. So, of course, the women that he encounters,
[00:31:54] Jay Aundrea: [00:31:55] or women that aren't thinking about muscles,
[00:31:57] Jay Aundrea: that's why they're attracted to him.
[00:31:59] Bruce Anthony: I ain't the black [00:32:00] Arnold Schwarzenegger. I'm not all muscled up. That's why I was like, I'm, I was like, what are y'all? [00:32:05] I'm just in shape. That's, that's all I am. It's not like I'm coming in looking like the [00:32:10] rock. I look like a bootleg rock. 'cause I got a ball ahead and I'm light skinned, but [00:32:15] I don't look like the rock, like I, my clothes don't fit like that.
[00:32:17] Bruce Anthony: So what are y'all talking about? Uh, [00:32:20] they just be hating. But I, that, I think that, yeah, I think that's because they were [00:32:25] like, oh, 'cause I don't look like that. So. I'm just going to comment that it's not [00:32:30] necessarily a good thing, and that would be a body issue thing.
[00:32:32] Bruce Anthony: That would be them not being comfortable in [00:32:35] themselves.
[00:32:35] Jay Aundrea: Yeah. Mm-hmm.
[00:32:38] Bruce Anthony: no, and I don't like, it's [00:32:40] something, the only time I like going out is when it is like, all right, I feel good about what I'm wearing. I [00:32:45] feel good about my body. And even then, yeah, I guess that's [00:32:50] true.
[00:32:50] Jay Aundrea: I think that's everybody.
[00:32:52] Bruce Anthony: But even then, you know, I feel so [00:32:55] bad sometimes. Like I'm a horrible friend.
[00:32:58] Bruce Anthony: My, my bestie lives [00:33:00] not too far from me, right over the bridge and she is like, let's get [00:33:05] together. And I'm like, I want to, 'cause I love spending time with you,
[00:33:09] Jay Aundrea: [00:33:10] Mm-hmm.
[00:33:10] Bruce Anthony: but also I'm tired of talking.
[00:33:14] Jay Aundrea: Yeah.[00:33:15]
[00:33:15] Bruce Anthony: Like, I'm just between this podcast, my regular job. Sometimes I [00:33:20] just wanna sit in silence. Sometimes me and crypto will sit in the living room and [00:33:25] I'll play my video game in complete silence.
[00:33:28] Bruce Anthony: No sound.
[00:33:29] Jay Aundrea: Uh, there [00:33:30] are times where literally I end my work day and I was like, I don't want to hear anything.[00:33:35]
[00:33:35] Jay Aundrea: I don't want to hear any sounds. I will turn off the AC unit 'cause I don't even wanna hear [00:33:40] that. Hum. I wanna hear nothing. 'cause I had to talk and get talked [00:33:45] at
[00:33:45] Jay Aundrea: so much today. I literally want to hear the [00:33:50] ringing in my ears and that's it.
[00:33:52] Bruce Anthony: I don't wanna say no more
[00:33:53] "I'm Tired of Talking" (Podcast Host Problems) 😮💨🎙️🧎♂️
[00:33:53] Bruce Anthony: words[00:33:55]
[00:33:59] Bruce Anthony: and people are gonna be [00:34:00] like, but you got a podcast. I know. I can't explain it. I don't, I don't know. I, I can't, I can't [00:34:05] tell you what it is. And people are like, but you say you don't like attention, but you have a [00:34:10] podcast. I don't want attention.
[00:34:12] Jay Aundrea: Right.
[00:34:13] Bruce Anthony: I do. [00:34:15] This is the hubris in me. I do want to teach.
[00:34:19] Jay Aundrea: Mm-hmm.[00:34:20]
[00:34:20] Bruce Anthony: This is my way of getting out.
[00:34:23] Bruce Anthony: I talk to so many people [00:34:25] sometimes, and it's just like, why aren't you thinking like this? Here? Lemme show you [00:34:30] this perspective. And they're like, oh, I never thought of it like that. And I'm like, okay, well then you learn something. Oh, [00:34:35] cool. I like that. Let me see how many more people that [00:34:40] I can. Get to hear a perspective and then I interview people to hear different perspectives of [00:34:45] things that I don't know about.
[00:34:46] Bruce Anthony: 'cause I like to learn about things that I wanna learn about. That's [00:34:50] what the school system's telling me, what I need to learn about.
[00:34:52] Jay Aundrea: yeah. That was the thing I hated the [00:34:55] most about school. Let me just study the stuff I care about.
[00:34:58] Bruce Anthony: So, um, [00:35:00] the professor I interviewed at the very first episode of season two
[00:35:04] Bruce Anthony: cam, [00:35:05] and I was talking one night, and, uh, I was just like, yeah, you know, I hated school. I don't really like [00:35:10] learning. He was like, that's not true. He's like, you love learning. You just like learning about stuff that you find [00:35:15] interesting.
[00:35:15] Jay Aundrea: Yes.
[00:35:17] Bruce Anthony: He was like, you should have flourished in college. I was like, [00:35:20] well, yeah, but then I chose the wrong major 'cause I wanted to show that I was smarter than everybody. So I chose [00:35:25] Eastern European history instead of the thing that I was most interested in, which was American history.[00:35:30]
[00:35:30] Bruce Anthony: But who wants to study American history when they're already in America?[00:35:35]
[00:35:35] Jay Aundrea: at an American history major.
[00:35:37] Bruce Anthony: Yeah, well, I didn't wanna be an American History Ranger. I wanted to prove that I was [00:35:40] smarter than everybody. And being Eastern
[00:35:41] Jay Aundrea: Yeah, and you chose the most [00:35:45] difficult,
[00:35:45] Bruce Anthony: yes,
[00:35:48] Bruce Anthony: I had to prove that I was smarter [00:35:50] than everybody.
[00:35:51] Jay Aundrea: ridiculous,
[00:35:52] Bruce Anthony: I know it was absolutely ridiculous. Don't ask me nothing [00:35:55] about none of those. The Byzantine Empire, the Ming Dynasty. I remember the names, but I [00:36:00] can't tell you none of, not a na nut of,
[00:36:02] Jay Aundrea: ottoman, and none
[00:36:03] Bruce Anthony: I, we, I don't think [00:36:05] we even learned about the Ottoman Empire. Well, I don't think we learned about, I don't think we learned about the Persians and in [00:36:10] their, in their quest.
[00:36:11] Bruce Anthony: That was some, something different. I think I learned about that during the, I think I learned [00:36:15] about that in the, in the movie, the 300.[00:36:20]
[00:36:24] Bruce Anthony: [00:36:25] You know, that's, that's what I know. It was just, [00:36:30] it was a ego trip. I was like, you know, I'm smarter than you and I'm gonna prove, I'm gonna shove it in [00:36:35] your
[00:36:35] Jay Aundrea: Who are you telling this to though?
[00:36:37] Bruce Anthony: Everybody, everybody.
[00:36:39] Jay Aundrea: Who was [00:36:40] asking?
[00:36:40] Jay Aundrea: Like
[00:36:41] Bruce Anthony: know. Wasn't nobody asking about, I just had to let him know, you know what [00:36:45] though? Because people, okay, so I, when I was at Maryland.
[00:36:49] Bruce Anthony: I don't [00:36:50] think I'm abnormally tall. I'm above average because, well, I'm well [00:36:55] above average 'cause I just found out today the average height for a female is five five. The average height for a [00:37:00] male is five nine.
[00:37:01] Bruce Anthony: So if it's five nine and I say that I'm six three, but [00:37:05] I'm really six four, that's seven inches tall, and then the average male, in that regard,[00:37:10]
[00:37:10] Jay Aundrea: Why do you shorten yourself
[00:37:11] Jay Aundrea: on
[00:37:12] Bruce Anthony: I, because I never wanted to be, [00:37:15] I always wanted to just be in the crowd.
[00:37:18] Bruce Anthony: I never wanted to stand out [00:37:20] 'cause I always stood
[00:37:21] Clark Kent Mode: Why Bruce Shrinks Himself 😶🌫️🧍♂️🦸♂️
[00:37:21] Bruce Anthony: out,
[00:37:22] Jay Aundrea: Yeah.
[00:37:23] Bruce Anthony: so I just wanted to drink. [00:37:25] If you notice now, and it's stuff that I worked on in therapy,
[00:37:28] Bruce Anthony: if you notice, even to this [00:37:30] day, I slouch my shoulders.
[00:37:32] Jay Aundrea: Yeah.
[00:37:34] Bruce Anthony: I, [00:37:35] I literally Clark Kent myself, until I won a Superman myself. If there's a point that I want to [00:37:40] get across, if there's a, there's a thing that I want to [00:37:45] demonstrate, then all of a sudden I stand up upright and my voice gets deeper and I do the [00:37:50] Superman thing.
[00:37:50] Bruce Anthony: But any other time, it's very meek. I'm very Clark Kent. It's also one of the [00:37:55] reasons why I don't intimidate. All these white clients that I [00:38:00] had, that I have,
[00:38:01] Bruce Anthony: because they're just like, oh, I don't have to be worried about him. He's like, John [00:38:05] Coffee.
[00:38:06] Jay Aundrea: was I thinking John Coffee this [00:38:10] time? I was [00:38:15] thinking that just, [00:38:20] just like a lovable chocolate.[00:38:25]
[00:38:25] Bruce Anthony: If y'all don't know, John Coffee is. That's the guy from the Green Mile. Oh my [00:38:30] goodness. Just a lovable ass, John Coffee. That's all I am.[00:38:35]
[00:38:37] Jay Aundrea: that's, I was thinking, [00:38:40] oh my,
[00:38:44] Bruce Anthony: Oh [00:38:45] wow. All right. Well, we did our, we did our time on this show. [00:38:50] We,
[00:38:50] Jay Aundrea: did we did it.
[00:38:51] Bruce Anthony: we did it, man. You got well, all [00:38:55] right. And you're high, so you can go ahead and be, be embraced in that highness. I'm gonna [00:39:00] go and
[00:39:00] Bruce Anthony: I think I'm gonna have some salmon. I don't have no sides though.[00:39:05]
[00:39:05] Jay Aundrea: You gotta mix. You gotta have some size. You don't got no spinach or nothing.
[00:39:08] Bruce Anthony: I do, but I don't feel like I got [00:39:10] spinach and mushrooms, but I really don't feel like sauteing them right now because I gotta clean the, the [00:39:15] skillet that I just made eggs in earlier. I, I'm tired
[00:39:18] Jay Aundrea: Yeah.
[00:39:19] Bruce Anthony: and when I [00:39:20] could just heat up my tacos
[00:39:23] Jay Aundrea: Yeah.[00:39:25]
[00:39:25] Bruce Anthony: anyway. What you wanna tell these people out here now that your [00:39:30] phone is blowing up?
[00:39:31] Jay Aundrea: Yeah, I don't know what the hell's going on. It's an [00:39:35] ungodly hour.
[00:39:36] Bruce Anthony: It really isn't, but [00:39:40] okay.
[00:39:40] Jay Aundrea: Ain't nothing up. But sin and podcasters.[00:39:45]
[00:39:46] Bruce Anthony: You almost made me spit this alcohol all over my mic and my computer.[00:39:50]
[00:39:51] Jay Aundrea: Oh, what do I have to
[00:39:52] Jay Aundrea: say to people? Nothing. Again, I'm a [00:39:55] terrible person and I did not come up with anything to say.
[00:39:58] Bruce Anthony: Mean, I don't think you're a tampon. [00:40:00] Roni. Roni is like, I'm up and I'm ready.
[00:40:04] Jay Aundrea: I took her [00:40:05] collar off so she's not jingling, but she is up. She,
[00:40:08] Bruce Anthony: Yeah. I met
[00:40:09] Jay Aundrea: a and [00:40:10] ready to rock.
[00:40:11] Bruce Anthony: there's one last thing before I get off here. There's this lady in my building. Her name [00:40:15] is Kim. I don't know how old she is. I can't, I can't be telling with women, I and [00:40:20] I, you can't ask women 'cause that's just disrespectful. But she's got these two pits and these [00:40:25] are like, these are like the big pits, not the little teeny tiny pit and like the, the, [00:40:30] like, one of the dogs' name is Rome.
[00:40:33] Bruce Anthony: And I just love Rome. Rome [00:40:35] is like a bear. I, I
[00:40:36] Rome the Giant Pit: "Headbutted My Shin" 🐶💥😂
[00:40:36] Bruce Anthony: saw her earlier today. She was like, Hey, how you doing? I was like, Hey, how you doing [00:40:40] Kim? I was like, Rome, is that you? Because she takes him up the stairs. 'cause. They're big, and I [00:40:45] think she's, I don't know if they're her dogs or not, but they're big and they're pits and [00:40:50] she's fearful of how they'll interact with other dogs.
[00:40:52] Bruce Anthony: So she'll just take 'em up the stairs instead of going in the, in, uh, [00:40:55] el elevator. And I'm like, you know, my dog is cool [00:41:00] if your dogs are cool. She was like, not this one, but the other one is cool. I was like, well, anytime you [00:41:05] see me, he always wants to say hi to dogs. That's all he cares about in life is just saying hi to
[00:41:09] Jay Aundrea: [00:41:10] Truly, yeah.
[00:41:11] Bruce Anthony: So I, I see her and I was like, what's up Rome? And his tail [00:41:15] was wagging. Mind you, I've only met this dog one time. His tail is [00:41:20] wagging and he runs up to me and, 'cause I'm big, like I don't really [00:41:25] care. Like that doesn't scare me. But he runs and he immediately head butts my shin [00:41:30] and I'm like, damn Rome, you ain't got the headbutt me.
[00:41:32] Bruce Anthony: But he's just so happy and his tail is [00:41:35] whacking and he is just, let me rub his belly. And I was like, oh man, Rome. If I could, [00:41:40] I'd adopt you. But you already got an owner and I don't want no more dogs,
[00:41:44] Bruce Anthony: but he's pretty [00:41:45] cool.
[00:41:45] Bruce Anthony: He is a big ass dog. There's a big ass pit.
[00:41:49] Jay Aundrea: he, so
[00:41:49] Jay Aundrea: he is one of the [00:41:50] big stocky ones.
[00:41:51] Bruce Anthony: I I, he's gotta be mixed with something else.
[00:41:53] Bruce Anthony: 'cause he is, he's as [00:41:55] big as, not as, yeah, he's as big as rock [00:42:00] waller,
[00:42:00] Jay Aundrea: Oh.
[00:42:02] Bruce Anthony: but he has a pit face.
[00:42:04] Bruce Anthony: That'd be crazy if [00:42:05] he was a pit rock wild. A mix. Next time I see her, I gotta ask him. 'cause he's not a normal, he's not a regular pit.[00:42:10]
[00:42:10] Jay Aundrea: yeah. I'd ask that. I wanna know
[00:42:12] Bruce Anthony: Woo. If you had a,
[00:42:13] Jay Aundrea: know.
[00:42:14] Bruce Anthony: yeah, if you had a [00:42:15] pit rock wilder mix, that'd be the scariest dog.
[00:42:18] Bruce Anthony: That's that dog from the O. [00:42:20] The only thing I think would be scarier is a German shepherd pit. Bull pit bull mix.[00:42:25]
[00:42:26] Jay Aundrea: Well,
[00:42:27] Jay Aundrea: that's
[00:42:27] Bruce Anthony: scared to death.
[00:42:28] Bruce Anthony: Yeah, I'm sc [00:42:30] yeah, I'm scared to tell. I see a German Shepherd. I'd be like, Hey, is that dog cool? He like, he, he's a [00:42:35] lovely dog. I was like, that ain't my history with German Shepherds.
[00:42:38] Bruce Anthony: I'll go with love. [00:42:40] didn't Dave Chappelle? Didn't Dave Chappelle do a [00:42:45] sketch of a racist German Shepherd? No. Was Mr. Ed? It was [00:42:50] Mr. Ed. It was racist.
[00:42:51] Jay Aundrea: Yes. And they said also the dog to play Rent 10. [00:42:55] Rent 10, 10 or whatever. What else? [00:43:00] Racist.
[00:43:01] Bruce Anthony: he and Neil Brennan. Hilarious. All [00:43:05] right. That's it for this episode, for those people that's still listening and watching. Thank you,
[00:43:09] Jay Aundrea: [00:43:10] Yeah. Thank you.
[00:43:10] Bruce Anthony: first of all. Thank you. And on that note, as always, I'll [00:43:15] holler.
[00:43:24] Bruce Anthony: [00:43:20] I hope you guys [00:43:25] like that show. Once again, that's just a sneak peek of our after hours Uncensored. Actually, that's not a sneak peek. [00:43:30] That was a full episode. That was a full episode of After Hours Uncensored that we did two and a half years ago. [00:43:35] That's two and a half years worth of content. There is so much content for such little prices.[00:43:40]
[00:43:40] Bruce Anthony: It's little prices. The maximum is gonna cost you is $10 a month, and that's for the whole kit and [00:43:45] caboodle. That's for after I was uncensored. That's for the behind the scenes. That'll be [00:43:50] for my show. Messy. That'll be for the live stream. You don't even have to pay that. You can just pay 6 [00:43:55] 99 and get the majority of that stuff.
[00:43:57] Bruce Anthony: All that content is on our YouTube [00:44:00] and our Patreon. Some of it is in the Patreon, just the after hours uncensored, but all the extra [00:44:05] stuff after Hours Uncensored and everything is a YouTube membership.

[00:44:08] Bruce Anthony: Join. [00:44:10] Now I did tell you guys I was gonna show you clips of me messing up. Yeah, [00:44:15] here, here comes my embarrassment.
[00:44:17] Bruce Anthony: Check these out.
[00:44:17] Jay Aundrea: Yeah. I'm gonna [00:44:20] leave everybody with this. The real halftime debate [00:44:25] isn't about music, right? Like when they did this cultural war thing, [00:44:30] it's not about music.
[00:44:31] Jay Aundrea: Yep.
[00:44:32] Jay Aundrea: What is truly about, it's who gets [00:44:35] defined Did I say that right?[00:44:40]
[00:44:42] Jay Aundrea: You did Well, [00:44:45] didn't really enunciate the word define, so you were [00:44:50] like, it was really about is who gets to find America. Like that's what you said. [00:44:55] So if you wanna go back and do a take two,
[00:44:59] Jay Aundrea: [00:45:00] Yeah. Cut, cut, cut, cut. Cut, cut, cut.[00:45:05]
[00:45:06] Jay Aundrea: that's why I probably hit your ear, right? [00:45:10] Because that's what I heard [00:45:15] and I was like, okay. Didn't, didn't quite. [00:45:20] [00:45:25] [00:45:30] St.[00:45:35]
[00:45:39] Jay Aundrea: I, I'm [00:45:40] in here sweating now. Oh wow. Okay. Cut, cut, cut, [00:45:45] cut, cut. All right. You ready?
[00:45:46] Jay Aundrea: But everybody, I wanna leave you with this. The real half [00:45:50] tin debate isn't about music. Everybody wants to get into these culture war things and [00:45:55] okay, if we're gonna get into it, let's address it. Because like I said, [00:46:00] wasn't about music.
[00:46:02] Jay Aundrea: It's about who gets to define [00:46:05] America.
[00:46:08] Jay Aundrea: That was better.
[00:46:09] Jay Aundrea: Did [00:46:10] much better. I mean, you fumbled over the word halftime,
[00:46:13] Jay Aundrea: you
[00:46:14] Jay Aundrea: I did.
[00:46:14] Jay Aundrea: [00:46:15] Yes. You said the real half an bait.
[00:46:18] Jay Aundrea: I did.
[00:46:19] Jay Aundrea: Yes. [00:46:20] And I was like, oh, he did it [00:46:25] again. He's gone. He's gonna stop. But you kept going, so I was like, okay.
[00:46:29] Jay Aundrea: I didn't.[00:46:30]
[00:46:33] Jay Aundrea: Look, it's a word to [00:46:35] be fucked up. I'm gonna fuck it up. I'm
[00:46:39] Jay Aundrea: gonna fuck it. [00:46:40] sentence. Bruce, I need you to read just
[00:46:42] Jay Aundrea: No, I'm not reading it directly. It was [00:46:45] a framework and then I was gonna put my own little pizazz on it, but I guess I probably should just read [00:46:50] it so that I won't fuck it up. Oh, all [00:46:55] right. Lemme try this one more
[00:46:56] Bloopers: "Presidential Medal of…Freeman?!" 📜😭🤣
[00:46:56] Jay Aundrea: time.
[00:46:57] Bruce Anthony: His historic political, his historic [00:47:00] presidential cut, scrolling, lost [00:47:05] my place.
[00:47:07] Jay Aundrea: He said, I.[00:47:10]
[00:47:11] Bruce Anthony: I did well, I'm gonna fuck up some words. Alright. His [00:47:15] historic presidential campaigns in 1984 and 1988 expanded the [00:47:20] possibilities of American politics. Proven that a broad progressive coalition could compete at the [00:47:25] highest levels. He served as a voice for the voiceless, advocating for voting rights, [00:47:30] economic equity, and international human rights, even acting as an informal [00:47:35] diplomat to secure the release of Americans abroad and ni. In [00:47:40] 2000, he was awarded the presidential medal Freeman free. Mm [00:47:45] Freeman, he was worshiping, he descend this in [00:47:50] cut. In 2000, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of [00:47:55] Freeman.[00:48:00] [00:48:05] [00:48:10]
[00:48:12] Bruce Anthony: Oh, oh. Come on, [00:48:15] Bruce. Oh my God. Come on, man. All right,
[00:48:19] Jay Aundrea: [00:48:20] Freedom. Freedom.
[00:48:21] Bruce Anthony: cut.
